Moles

Moles can be present from birth or develop later in life. We offer a consultation for moles, taking a full history, risk factors, and examining the mole under magnification (Dermoscopy). Moles can be excised for a better aesthetic appearance as well as for diagnosis, as all moles are sent to the lab for analysis. Moles can be removed via excision or shave excision under local anaesthetic.

Minor Surgery

Moles, cysts or lipomas are generally benign lesions. Reasons for removal are that they can cause discomfort, to improve the cosmetic appearance. In the case of cysts, they can occasionally become infected, excising them prevents this. Almost all our excisions are sent for analysis to ensure that they are benign.

Excision of a mole, cyst, or lesion involves the surgical removal of the  lesion under local anaesthetic, which aims to improve the aesthetic appearance, reduce any associated discomfort.

Skin Blemishes/Skin tags

We carry out a full assessment to include a history and examination with magnification (Dermoscopy) to ensure lesions are benign. The majority of these lesions are amenable to Cryosurgery with Crypen which enable a targeted treatment with minimal injury to the surrounding tissues. For lesions that can not be treated via Cryosurgery, options include excision, shave excision of cautery.
